CHS Beer Week Meet+Eat at The Larder

Join The Larder in celebrating Charleston Beer Week as they team up with specialty beer distributor Rafa Distributing for a very special pairing dinner. At 6pm, diners will be welcomed with a surprise brew, specially chosen by Chef Josh Keeler, to awaken the palate for his five seasonally inspired courses paired with five extra-special beers.


The Menu:



Off Color Brewing Troublesome Gose, Chicago, IL - A blend of two beers: base beer is fermented with a wheat yeast strain and spiced with coriander, while the second beer is fermented solely with Lactobacillus, giving it tartness, 4.3% ABV



Potato Croquette, Cheddar, Lobster, Lobster Mushroom, Fushimi Pepper

Blaugies Darbyste, Belgium - sour saison with wheat + fermented fig juice, 5.8% ABV


Lamb Breast, Sunflower Seed, Salsify

Castelain Ch'ti Triple, France - robust blonde, cellared for 6-10 weeks, 7.5% ABV



Monkfish, Artichoke, Bone Marrow, Bonito, Wild Greens, Carrot

Struise/Mikkeller Elliot Brew, Belgium - Double IPA, cross between hopped Mikkeller beer and strong blonde-Struise style, 9% ABV



Short Rib, Apple, Tomato, Shiso

Haandbryggeriet Norwegian Wood, Norway - smoked ale with juniper berries, 6.5%



Financier, Chestnut, Maple, Yogurt

Dieu du Ciel! Rigor Mortis ABT, Canada - Quad, strong brown ale, malty + complex, aged for 6 months, inspired by beer of Belgian Trappist Monks, 10.5% ABV
